As we all know that Social Media is changing so rapidly. Creative and unique content is a must for 2016. Here is a list of some of the top trends in Instagram Marketing so far.
1. Using GIF’s on Instagram
Using Gif’s is becoming very popular for instagram. We are saying goodbye to the static images on our timelines, and saying hello to moving pictures. Animated GIF’s and apple’s moving picture will be major contributors in new and evolving marketing strategy, it allows to consumer to get a little bit clearer insight into the products being sold to them. Don’t worry about having to make your own GIF’s, thankfully there are a huge number to apps out there that help make your GIF’s for you.
At Triangle, we plan on implementing this strategy to many of the social media accounts we manage, as the market here in Lebanon is always a little bit behind the time. This means we will be able to get a huge leg up over our competitors.
2. Experimenting with Instagram Ad
We are all aware that instagram ads have only just become available to all users since late 2015. With the emergence of this new ability, the very first ads didn’t have the chance to learn from others mistakes. But as this new trend become more and more popular, we will see lots of advertisers implementing creative marketing strategies tailored for Instagram, so keep your eyes peeled. You many see some good ideas, and some horrific, but in the end we are all learning and making mistakes together.
3. Stock Photography for Instagram
Finding, or making visually appealing images is a bit of a challenge for advertisers. On one hand, some don’t have the budget to organize a professional photo shoot, and on the other, some just don’t want to take the time to undergo such a project for a mere instagram ad. Luckily for us, we are seeing the emergence of new stock photography, like Stocksy, and Flashstock. You can get great quality photos to use in your ads for a reasonable price. At Triangle, it’s not always easy for us to get photos from out clients to use on their pages, and we can’t possibly make it out to them ourselves to take the photos, this kind of stock photography could come in very handy for Digital Agencies such as ourselves.
4. Linking to Content
Instagram users have always wanted to be able to link to their website through the caption, rather than just in their bio. Let’s hope we see this new feature from Instagram in 2016. If this doesn’t happen, then we can expect to see more, and more “Buy Now” buttons, or “Like to Know It” buttons, which makes their instragam feed more shopper friendly.
5. Managing Multiple Instagram Accounts
Creating multiple Instagram accounts for different customers is coming. Advertisers can now manage and maintain several instagram accounts easily, and effectively. For example @nike @nikewomen @nikerunning etc.. all of these accounts managed by the same creator. Whether you’re managing multiple accounts for your brand, curating a feed with your friends, or just switching between your personal and work accounts, signing in and out of instagram can be irritating. Those days are soon over. This is particularly usefull for digital agencies such as ourselves, who manage several accounts all at once. Instead of constantly logging in and out of our clients accounts, we can have it all in on place to easily just switch between.
